The 2012 Lung Book is now available!!
The Lung Book is a member booklet offering fantastic discounts on golf courses and driving ranges throughout the Maritimes. Priced at $50 this booklet is purchased season after season by golf enthusiasts of all skill levels for its excellent value.
But, it is children struggling with lung disorders like asthma that are the true winners of this fundraiser. All booklet sales benefit two lung health programs specifically designed to keep asthmatic children active, breathing, and having fun!
The first program is Asthma Aware, a practical, proactive training program for minor sports coaches, teachers and other people with children in their care. Asthma Aware gives coaches and others the confidence to recognize and deal with asthma symptoms brought on by physical activity. And the child, the confidence and freedom to run and play!
The second program is our popular Camp Treasure Chest. Since 1989 children ages 8 – 12 years with moderate to severe asthma have enjoyed all the activities, independence and self-esteem building of a traditional summer camp! Thanks to golfers like you, we are able to offer this full week camp experience for the nominal cost of $150 per child. (We offer additional assistance for families in need.)
